Shoe Tape Replica

September 2023

For the first project of my 3D art studio class, I created a tape replica of my favorite daily shoe; the legendary Raf Simons X Adidas Ozweego. The shapes and design details, from the unique mid/outsole to the bubbles and panelling, each feel intentional as genuine design decisions and crucial to the overall look. I strongly believe in the concept of sentimental value and personality carried through years of wear that have altered the colors and texture, with each scuff and tear marking memories both known and unknown to me.

  1. The tape-and-paper replica beside the real Raf Simons Ozweego it copies, both on a grey backdrop — the replica in white and black, the original in worn cream and grey with black laces.
